Lesley joined Seafood Scotland in November 2008 from Telford college with over 25 years secretarial and administration experience. Born and bred in Edinburgh, Lesley has a wide skills sets from a variety of roles, including Community Development Officer, PA to the Principal of Telford College and Sponsorship Executive. Lesley is key to running the office, based at Logie Mill in Edinburgh, coordinating project claims, enquiries, reports and managing resource requests out to industry. |

Libby Woodhatch, Chief Executive |

Hailing from the crab fishing port of Salcombe in Devon, Libby has been involved in the seafood sector for 15 years, both academically, gaining a BSc Hons & MSC in Fisheries Science, and practically. Prior to joining Seafood Scotland as Chief Executive in 2003, Libby ran her own international fisheries consultancy, and worked with all sectors of the industry, from catching to aquaculture, and processing to retail. Libby received the Freedom of the City of London in 2004 for her work in setting up the Billingsgate Seafood School, and remains a Trustee of the School. In 2006 she became the first woman to be externally elected to the livery of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers. |

Jess Sparks, Technical Manager |
| Jess graduated from Plymouth with a degree in Fishery Sciences in 1984 and promptly moved to Scotland to start a career in seafood production management. He spent 2 years working as a junior manager on the West Coast, producing frozen langoustine for European export. Jess then moved to the NE of Scotland and continued his management career manufacturing a wide range of value added seafood for many of the major UK retailers. Leaving his production manager’s post in 2000, Jess joined the Sea Fish Industry Authority as a Quality & Trade Executive working closely in the field with all sectors of the Scottish industry. It was in this role that Jess started dedicated project work for Seafood Scotland. In 2006 he commenced a two year full time secondment from the Sea Fish Industry Authority to work for Seafood Scotland as technical manager, concentrating on the delivery of Seafood Scotland’s commercial strategy for Scottish Langoustine. |

Clare Dixon, Trade Marketing Manager |
|
Originally from the North of England, Clare studied at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating with a degree in Food Marketing Management. Working in the chilled manufacturing industry for several years, in a variety of food categories, Clare gained a wide range of experience and knowledge of food production throughout the supply chain. Specialising in food marketing in the primary sector, she joined Seafood Scotland in April 2011, handling business to business marketing and export opportunities. |

Ian Land, Account Manager |
| Ian Land - worked for Seafish for five years as an account manager and covered the East of Scotland, from Fife northwards. Ian is based in Arbroath and has completed a secondment with Improve where he learnt a lot about the food and drink industry sector skills council. Previously, Ian was self-employed with his own food distribution business. He graduated from Robert Gordon's University in Aberdeen with a degree in Business. |

Craig Burton, Inshore Manager |
| Craig graduated in Marine Biology from Bangor University in 1979. He gained industrial and financial experience in manufacturing, before returning to marine science in 1984, when he completed a post-graduate degree at Plymouth University. He joined Seafish in 1987, initially working on lobster stock enhancement, then becoming involved in the wider shellfish and fin-fish aquaculture industries. His financial and aquaculture expertise came together in the Aquaculture Development Service, where direct business advice and assistance was given to industry, and his fisheries involvement expanded in the Inshore Group. His most recent Seafish role bought him into contact with companies at every level of the seafood supply chain. He was seconded to Seafood Scotland in 2008. |

Nicki Holmyard, Communications and Public Relations |
| Nicki Holmyard has worked on a freelance basis for Seafood Scotland since its inception, providing for all communications and PR needs. Nicki has worked as a journalist and PR in the seafood industry for 20 years, and continues to travel the world investigating and writing about fisheries and aquaculture, from the sea or pond to the consumer. She uses her considerable experience to ensure that Seafood Scotland maximises its potential for positive publicity. |
