Last year, Seafood Scotland proved just how effective a small dedicated team can be. As we continued our usual commitment to showcase the fantastic Scottish seafood produce to the world; we were also able to host several key events bringing global stakeholders to the shores of Scotland to share our vision.
As we enter 2025, we take pride in reflecting on a transformative year for Seafood Scotland. The year 2024 was marked by our commitment to inspiring the next generation, forging global connections, and fostering a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and growth. Additionally, we celebrated our 25th anniversary during this significant year. We are pleased to present some of the key highlights that contributed to the transformative year of 2024 for Scottish seafood.
The event was also chance for journalists from around the world to meet the Seafood Scotland team, as well as a range of Scotland’s leading producers. We invited 12 representatives from international media, including journalists from the UK, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the US, Germany and France.
Our CEO, Donna Fordyce, said: “A huge benefit of having the Scotland Pavilion is being able to meet new and existing customers in one place. Over the course of the event, we had the pleasure of hosting suppliers and buyers for lunches with premium, delicious, sustainable Scottish seafood through an innovative menu created by the fantastic Steve Walpole and team.
