Responsible Seafood Summit

The Responsible Seafood Summit was held for the first time in October 2024. Hosted at the beautiful Fairmont in St Andrews, the summit highlighted the quality and provenance of Scotland’s seafood sector on an international stage.

Approximately 500 seafood professionals from across the supply chain, including feed manufacturers, retail and foodservice buyers, technology providers, and government representatives attended; making the Summit the largest of its kind in the field of international seafood business gatherings.

Co-hosted by Seafood Scotland and organised by the Global Seafood Alliance, the Responsible Seafood Summit offered a valuable platform for industry innovators to participate, regardless of their specific role within the seafood sector.

Additionally, the summit featured six industry field trips to Scottish seafood production facilities, including BioMar, JK Thomson, Welch Fishmongers, DFDS Logistics, University of Stirling, Loch Fyne Oysters, Scottish Fisheries Museum, Rastech, Xelect, Scottish Oceans Institute, and others.
